Located within the managed grounds at Compton Verney and on the edge of established wood and parkland, the play area has a wonderful atmosphere with dappled shade supplied by Christmas trees planted many years ago.

As well as a number of built play structures, there’s a small den feature and we also leave sticks for your own imaginative creations. On any given day your children can expect to have their climbing and balance skills tested, along with their need for speed on the zip-wire!

Picnic benches are situated within the area, which are perfectly located for keeping an eye on your children or indeed viewing a corner of the stunning East Park landscape. So whether your primary visit is for the exhibitions, restaurant or historic parkland, don’t forget that the Woodland Play Area is tucked away at the end of the Wellingtonia avenue – yet another area of the grounds at Compton Verney awaiting exploration and adventure!
